For parents moving into our area, the site will give you information and background that will hopefully make the transition from early childhood or another school a little easier.

Piopio Primary School has been open since 1909 and has provided our community with quality childhood education in a great location.  We have strong links with Piopio College which is situated right next door to our school and our local early childhood centres: Kohanga Reo, Curious Keas and Piopio Playcentre.

Piopio Primary School caters for New Entrants (5 year olds) through to Year 6.
Piopio College begins from Year 7.  

Piopio Primary School has extensive grounds with safe off -street parking.  Our facilities include a library, seven classrooms and a multi-purpose room, an athletic field and another smaller playing field, two challenging adventure playgrounds and two swimming pools complete the outdoor area that is framed with shade trees.

Management, Board of Trustees, staff and parents work closely to provide an excellent learning environment for all children in a caring community.
